Tippet Rise on Tour: Spring Festival remains available to stream
April 19, 2021
Tippet Rise on Tour: Spring Festival featured live talks by Zoom and ten short films with musical performances and poetry readings by internationally celebrated musicians. The online festival took place April 16 - 18 on the Tippet Rise website, but like many of the events we stream, the films remain available to watch for free on our Virtual Events page. Details on the films, which were recorded in New York City at the studio of the American sculptor Joel Shapiro and at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music, are below.
“We established Tippet Rise out of our enthusiasm for the endless possibilities that arise when music, sculpture, architecture, and landscape are brought together,” the art center’s co-founders Peter and Cathy Halstead said. “We’re looking forward to bringing the creativity of extraordinary musicians, poets, and filmmakers to our audiences this spring in ways that are innovative and virtual, although the feeling is completely real.”
